The Cabin Unit - Our Summer Camp Distinction

This is what makes Camp Highlander distinctive. The core of the Camp Highlander philosophy and culture is the CABIN UNIT, the group of up to 10 campers along with a minimum of 2 cabin counselors that your child will call their family during their stay. As a cabin group, the campers and staff members participate in all camp activities and the adventures of summer camp. The cabin unit provides an encouraging environment that allows campers to feel free to challenge themselves in a comfortable group and to accomplish individual goals that promote self-confidence. This environment also promotes the personal growth of every camper by teaching them to compromise, cooperate and share. While living, playing and working together as a group, every camper will develop these life-long skills. This comprehensive experience is what makes Camp Highlander special.
